Hinds Rape Suspect Has Long Criminal History

    For nine years Ricky Franklin has been arrested for committing a series of violent crimes.
    According to his wrap sheet, Franklin drew his first felony charge in March 2000 when he was arrested for aggravated assault.
    Four months later, Franklin was taken to jail for using a weapon to commit another aggravated assault.
    County jail records show between February 2004 and June 2005 Franklin was arrested five times.   
    Among the charges four aggravated assaults and two kidnappings.
    Nine months later in March 2006, he was once again arrested for aggravated assault and kidnapping. 
    That case also includes a capital murder charge against Franklin.
