Eight Arrested For Kidnapping, Ransom Demand

Bond has not been set for a group of men accused of kidnapping a teen, beating him and holding him for ransom.
The suspects were all in court Thursday for an initial appearance.
The group face kidnapping, extortion, and aggravated assault charges.
Authorities arrested them Wednesday.
Tracy Glass says the whole incident was just a big misunderstanding.
She lives at the house on Lurline and claims the 17-year old was never kidnapped.
“They were not holding the man hostage, he could have of went out of the door anytime,” she says.
Glass says the family had taken in the alleged victim because he’s homeless.
According to her, some of the men attacked the teen only after they learned he had stole $150.00 from someone in the house.
“They just asked for the money he had taken from them that’s all they wanted back,” she said.
