Lawyers on both sides in the Carla Hughes’ sentencing hearing give final statements to jurors. A Madison County jury must decide whether Hughes gets life without parole or the death penalty. Hughes was convicted of killing Avis Banks and her unborn child.

Sweetlady you must realize that some people r just mean and rude! However as I’ve stated Carla has a Father that look high and low! She’s highly favored in the name of Jesus! I can care less what anyone say because God has the last say so! My husband is serving time and he’ll be home soon! Because I plead the blood of JESUS over him each and every DAY! I’m Rejoicing Carla case let me know that GOD hears our cry!
I am from greenville and carla attened school with my children but I am not going to judge CARLA. I just know that I have cried so much today for Carla and her parents and I am thankful to the jury for sparing her life and I will continue to pray for both families..
If Carla really did kill Avis and uborn child. She need to realize that she hurted more than two people. Carla, hurted Avis family, her family, and most importantly her son. She should have thought about what will happen to her son if she is not around to raise. I have a son and I think about what will happen to him if I’m not around to raise him. I would think about the consequences that go along with dumb mess I will put myself in.
