Clinton Park Elementary Teacher of the Year

Kinchen received a BS in Business Administration from the Mississippi University for Women and Master’s and Specialist degrees in Elementary Education from Mississippi College. She has taught first grade at Clinton Park since 1993.
“As I lead each group of students, I want them to develop the courage to explore, research and extend learning beyond our classroom,” she said. “This foundation will give them the tools needed to grow into confident, self-sufficient adults.”
Said Clinton Park Principal Suzanne Hollingshead: “Ms. Kinchen is a dynamic, self-motivated and committed teacher. She understands her instructional role with students and supports their learning by establishing a learning environment where all students, no matter their ability level or style of learning, achieve their best.”
