Amanda Durst earned a BA in Elementary Education from Mississippi State University. She has taught at Clinton Alternative School since 2001.
“I try to continue to make efforts to learn and bring new and creative ideas into my classroom,” she said. “I am always changing to adapt to the subject matter being taught and most importantly changing to meet the students’ needs until I find the best way to reach each of my students in each subject.”
Said Alternative School Principal Bobby Hathorn: “Mrs. Durst is capable of handling any situation with thoughtfulness and maturity. Mrs. Durst has been one of our most dedicated employees. She is an independent, self-directed person who is able to communicate effectively and meet even the most demanding challenges.”
