Deadly Shooting Involving Yazoo County Deputy

Officials in Yazoo County say a deputy who responded to a disturbance call has been involved in a deadly shooting.

They say around 1:00 a.m., deputies were called to a house on Beale Road in northern Yazoo County.  Investigators say there was a scuffle and one of the deputies fired his gun.

William Parker, 36, of Brandon, was shot in the chest.  He was taken to King’s Daughters Hospital in Yazoo City where he died around 2:30 a.m.

The body has been taken to the State Crime Lab and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is investigating.

My Brother William Will be missed,I’m Praying for Comfort For Family During these tough times, I have know lost 3 family memebers in the last 2 years..

William Parker was my brother i tried calling the police department today they told me it is under investigation.
I was told he was shot in the chest . The problem he was unarmed .If anybody has any info i would appreciate it thank you . ROBERT W PARKER
