Miss. lawmaker wants Arizona law hereGovernor Haley Barbour says the federal government is refusing to enforce immigration laws, so states have to step in and do the job. While greeting supporters Thursday at the annual Neshoba County Fair, Barbour spoke out against a federal judge’s ruling blocking key provisions of Arizona’s controversial new law aimed at curbing the flow of illegal immigrants within its borders. Barbour says the first step to solving the problem is for the government to close the borders. At least one Mississippi lawmaker wants the state legislature to take up a bill next year which would mirror Arizona’s.

that try to help. The federal court system blocks Arizona from enforcing the
federal laws that the federal government won’t enforce.

Thank you Gov. Barbour!! It’s great to know my home-state is backing us here in AZ. You’re right about our government not doing their job in protecting our borders, so we have to do their job. I would like to see the president (no capitalization on purpose!) come take a look at all the terrible-looking (& scary) neighborhoods that used to be beautiful and safe. There are no jobs, because illegal immigrants work for less than min. wage or work “under-the-table”. Then, when they get their pay, they stand in line at the banks to convert their money into pecos so they can send it back to Mexico. (I’ve seen this too many times to count.) Our economy is shot to @#$%, because our money leaves the country. The hospitals, schools, welfare offices, and all others are swamped with illegals who take our benefits, meds, education, etc. away from our families. Americans are now the minority! English is no longer the language! Our children are being bullied, our outdoor pets are being molested, our elderly are being beaten & robbed, and there’s nothing we can do. Here in AZ, America isn’t America any more. Arizona has become a part of Mexico. The so-called government needs to get off their butts and do their job! Protect us! That’s what they were elected for!!!
