The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics says it will take at least two years before we know the full effects of the law aimed at cracking down on meth crimes in the state. One MBN official says it’s too early to tell at this point. Coming up on News Channel 12 at 6, hear more about how meth crimes affect our communities. So far this year they have broken up more than 500 meth labs. The law which took effect July 1st requires a doctor’s prescription to buy medicines that contain pseudoephedrine, an ingredient used in common cold and allergy medicines.
