The Center Players Community Theatre will present The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) this weekend at the Ridgeland High School Cafetorium. The shows will be Friday, June 5th at 7:30pm; Saturday, June 6th at 7:30pm; and Sunday June 7th at 2:30pm. Tickets are $10 or $8 for seniors and students. For more information call the theatre at 601-953-0181 or go to their website at http://www.centerplayers.net  Here’s a little bit about the show: A hilarious, breakneck comedy, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) has three comedians making their way through all of the Bard’s plays (and some sonnets, too!) in less than two hours. A wild frolic through the works of Shakespeare, you’ve never seen the classics performed like this. Complete with a hip-hop Othello, and the histories performed as a football game, this is Shakespeare for those who don’t think they like Shakespeare-and especially for those who do! As London ‘s longest-running comedy, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) is chock-full of sight gags, physical humor and irreverent foolery. The show is being directed by Richard Lawrence and will feature Cory Drake, Brad Bishop and Bret Kenyon. It is presented with Special Arrangements by Broadway Play Publishing, Inc.
