Changing the World
Change is not easy. We have gotten use to sitting in front of the TV and watching our favorite shows, (Rachael Ray), and playing our video games. We need to be more active. Running, riding bikes, taking nature walks are just a few of the things we can do to start the change. Our teacher loves running. She encourages us to exercise everyday. We even go outside and take walks with her to get our heart rate going. On rainy days we stay inside and do aerobics. If we could make a change to our school day, it would be that we had Physical Education funding so that we could have a teacher in our school who was trained and could teach us ways to promote a healthy way of life. Someone who could teach us how to play organized sports, eat healthier, and make good healthy choices that can better and prolong our lives. Maybe they could even get you to come to our school as a guest speaker and teach us how to cook healthy meals. Ms. Johnson cooks in our classroom for us, but even she says “I’m no Rachael Ray”.
We hope you enjoyed reading our ideas and look forward to hearing from you!
