The summer movie season officially starts tomorrow, May 1. From then through August, expect to see plenty of prequels, chick flicks, and action movies all vying for the coveted #1 spot at the box office. More importantly for studios is making money. They’ll be doing promotion after promotion and getting the big stars out there talking about their movies—all in an effort to get people interested enough to splurge and pay to see a film when saving is the name of game right now.
