WASHINGTON (AP) - Paul McCartney got to sing "Michelle" for a
very special lady -- the first lady. McCartney was honored at the
White House last night. He brought down the house by belting out
"Michelle." President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama
were sitting front and center. After finishing the love the song,
McCartney joked he might be the "first guy ever to be punched out
by a president." McCartney was at the White House to receive the
Gershwin Prize for Popular Song, awarded by the Library of
Congress. A host of artists played in a tribute concert, including
the Jonas Brothers, Elvis Costello, Stevie Wonder, Jack White, and
Dave Grohl. PBS will air the concert next month.
