ASPEN, Colo. (AP) - Charlie Sheen has reached a plea agreement
with authorities in Aspen, Colorado. It's over domestic violence
allegations involving his wife. Prosecutors and the lawyer for
Brooke Mueller Sheen won't say what plea deal is. His wife's lawyer
says that's because, quote, "a deal is not a deal until the judge
approves it." He also says "Brooke is totally satisfied with the
deal but if she had her druthers, the case would have been
dismissed." Sheen previously pleaded not guilty to menacing,
criminal mischief and assault charges stemming from an argument
with his wife on Christmas Day at the Aspen home where they were on
vacation. The most serious charge is menacing, a felony that
carries a maximum three-year prison sentence. Charlie Sheen is
scheduled to be in court Monday for a hearing. His trial is on the
calendar for July 21.
