The summer movie season officially starts tomorrow, May 1. From then through August, expect to see plenty of prequels, chick flicks, and action movies all vying for the coveted #1 spot at the box office. More importantly for studios is making money. They'll be doing promotion after promotion and getting the big stars out there talking about their movies-- all in an effort to get people interested enough to splurge and pay to see a film when saving is the name of game right now.
